May 18th – Day of Botanical Art Worldwide

This day will be very exciting for New Zealand as we are the first country involved to see the day! New Zealand will start things off with a Karakia – a Maori welcome and prayer, followed by a Kapa haka. We will then have speeches from invited dignitaries after which there will be artist demos, tours, talks and much more! Events will be held at Auckland Botanic Garden and supported by the Botanical Art Society of New Zealand.
